This CTCC web site utilizes modern web site features more appealing to the senses such as video, sound, animations and more with the hope of inspiring others to do likewise and in that process possibly attract some badly needed new members.

Just doing the job the under motivated office either cannot or just will not do.
It is well understood that the majority gives not a rats behind about the history that surrounds CTCC and that is fine.
Those that it threaten will of course discredit it. This should be the first sign of the truth on display here.
This site is not designed to gain favor. Quite the contrary. The very ones that will discredit are most likely the ones referenced within this site.
This site is designed for the few that do have a true interest and a thirst to learn how it came to be.
So take some time over the next few days/weeks to slowly sort through the many pages presented here that are filled with new features.
To review this site will most likely require more than just one sitting, so just take your time. Hopefully once complete you will have a much better understanding of this clubs long history and an improved appreciation of the MANY that have offered so much of themselves, only to be cast aside with very little to no history of their service trying to keep this club alive. Today's leadership are shamefully and content allowing it to die away after 59 years. If CTCC makes it until years end and new leadership is achieved/permitted MAYBE CTCC can once again shine as she once did many years ago. For much too long CTCC has been governed by those that feel the club is their personal property.
Once site has been completed one will most likely have a much improved working knowledge than most officers.
With the optimism of new club officers and coming changes it is expected that fewer updates will be required in 2027 unless it is felt a return the same ole same ole is taking place but feels confident this will not be necessary! Of course there will continue to be minor adjustments made almost daily just to try to keep the site interesting periodically.
This site is truly a labor of love and trying to preserve the CTCC and its history. Many appreciate this effort and for sure others do not but this is not a labor of winning approval but rather of insuring that an accurate account of the formation of CTCC marches onward for many future generations to enjoy. Seems peculiar that some believe it to be perfectly acceptable when the responsibility is not fulfilled yet when someone outside of the Core group performs the task, especially a PRE Charter Member that is/was there from moment one. Certain people wish to minimize the effort. Questions that all should ask is why then would anyone wish to minimize another's effort to make such information available to all if the responsible will not?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are so many areas that our club does very well and some excellent officers that simply could not be better and have remained devoted to the club when others decided to break away and abandoned CTCC to form another club. Those that stood firm continued to believe in CTCC and continued the advancement of the club to this day when others failed only to have them wishing to return to the same club they had an issue with, CTCC. However there are some very obvious areas that could be easily improved if the responsible people would just engage and do their job. These are the areas to which are spoken of here.
With new leadership brings with it new hope and with new hope a new direction. A glimmer of hope that hopefully will bring with it badly needed corrections and perhaps even bring with it a new era in other needed areas such as the elimination of the obsolete management style/thinking/logic as if it is the responsibility of the new members to have to cozy up to the core when in reality it needs to be exactly the opposite. Antiquated attitudes such as these have been allowed to propagate for far too long and it has now come back to bite CTCC. If one believes the declining membership numbers as per a previous President this style of logic must be reevaluated and reversed. He could see the direction of CTCC and attempted to alter it's course. Regretfully his vision was not appreciated and was removed from the office the following year and one of the core's disciples installed and then it was business as usual. He was a dead on visionary and had to go. Every confidence that young new leadership will also recognize this good ole boy attitude and finally out grow it's long tentacles of influence and will hopefully see membership numbers again begin to increase. Perhaps might even consider setting some membership goals for the club and it's officers to strive for. A minimum increase of just 10% years end would seem to be an easy number to shoot for. That is if that elected officer is up to it. If this trend does not reverse itself and soon CTCC will become extinct.
Hopefully this will be the turn around year that will realize some badly needed attention in other areas and will see that all officers are pulling their weight and not just occupying space and producing little to nothing each month. Hopefully CTCC will soon see a totally revamped web site that has been so badly neglected for so many years with the hope of attracting badly needed new, young members. Perhaps a web site design that is not so static and modernized. An expanded web site that will include such basic features as -
1. Either see the wisdom of including a club history web page If the elected officed og the historian and/or the web master could so easily (in a modified version) added via a simple web page link to this site (permissions granted and invited)
or
2. If the responsible person/s are unable or unwilling to do so perhaps the person/s responsible might be so motivated to very simply include in the official site a simple link to this site for inclusion on the CTCC site. If that was done of course this site would be revamped to include only the CTCC history
3. develop/produce something from the office/s, i.e. a club history web page. A permanent and accurate record of the clubs formidable years is established for future generations to understand how it all started. This is just what responsible members do for our future generations we claim to care so much for.
4. Perhaps a web page that will add pages to include By - laws (as other leading clubs do)
and
5. Constitution if indeed the club still maintains these documents and any number of other pages of interest. Perhaps consider a current area to promote the few upcoming club events other than the old outdated calendar has no event information shown at all. Development of event flyers would also be a nice touch for both newsletter, web and the old fashioned way, hand outs.
Perhaps a much enhanced newsletter that is published every month permitting multiple NEW contributors and not the same four or five contributors that have the same blanket statement each month.
Stop the censuring.
If the previous months club meetings minutes were not published each month there is virtually no content in it and if the monthly newsletter was not made available the web site would never change as it does anyway. A newsletter that enforces at the minimum the role of each officer tendering an article to the newsletter officer each month for publication. Actually requiring each office to produce something every month use to be a mandatory requirement of each officer. It required some effort back then. Unlike today.
Over the many years of our club it has seen some glory years and not so glory years. It is understood that in 1967 when the idea was first conceived that the average age of a member was about 25 - 30. A time of life when all had an abundance of energy and with very few resources yet it worked and within two or so years was part of the NCCC fabric including NCCC records, photos and articles. Today the average age represents a much different demographic. A more reserved and less energetic group that seemingly really enjoying eating out a lot. Regretfully this reflects to others that may have an interest in something else. Something must be done to attract a new and high energy prospect to help breath fresh air into an aging club with matching membership and maybe with this site, not being too close to the forest, can help draw attention to this concept. It is so sad to have personally witnessed and to have been a part of something that was once so dynamic slowly allowed to fade away and without any permanent written record of its past other than what is offered here. It is certain that a few others still have have accounts of interesting times of the beginning. To anyone that so desires to invest the time conveying those memories in writing may do so here.
