History of "The BILL BULLOCK" Award
What ever happened to this trophy that was to be set into perpetuity?

After Chevrolet terminated the tradition of "The Chevrolet Corvette Club Trophy" (1969) and no official G.M. trophy being available the club wished to continue the annual tradition of a club (Presidents) award for most active member (non gender specific).

In lieu of official "Chevrolet Corvette Club Trophy" the club decided to initiate it's own version of "The Chevrolet Corvette Club Trophy" with a club purchased award to continue to recognize outstanding CTCC participation.

This new and to be the permanent tradition was renamed and became to be known as the "Bill Bullock Award". In that year Bill lost his life in a motorcycle accident and was at that time the leading annual most active member. The first presentation of this award was to Bill's Mother.

This tradition continued for many years with early year presentations being recorded but over the years the award seemed to have waned (as did other traditions) with many years unaccounted for and with little to no history of this long standing tradition which is truly regretful. Another good example of club recorded history lost.

Would be nice to see a club web page dedicated to all of the annual most active members beginning from 1968 to present but feel certain this information is lost due to poor historical records. This task would also require a degree of real work to recall that history and cannot see anyone putting forth that much effort to secure this historical research. Sad to see so much offered by so many and then allowed to be forgotten. Shame on us all.

What little information was known of this on again, off again program of many years suddenly and with no explanation vanished when the "Bill Bullock" web page was oddly abandoned and has for  decades now indicates the Bill Bullock page is under construction with no explanation. Someone really needs to ask the club web master why that is?

Why are special annual awards du jour that come and go if historical records are not accurately recorded? So much of the clubs precious history is being lost each month. Just photos are not adequate. There must also be written records that tell the complete story that photos are unable to convey. Photos are but half the story and the other half is lost to the ages.

How is wisdom related to aging? While many people associate wisdom with advanced age, becoming wise clearly requires more than "just" growing old.
Conventional thinking suggest that the older one becomes the wiser they get, however never is heard of gaining more energetic.
How is this working out for CTCC?
