What Does                 Elected Officers Really Do For You?

Take a moment to ask if YOUR elected officers are -

 1. Fulfilling the job description to the best of your expectations?

 2. What have they really done to advance the club?

 3. What have your dues provided you?

 4. Or are they just glory hogs expecting to gain recognition and an award at the years end           Shindig? Which begs the question why must a paid club member be expected to pay for         the end of year/new officer installment event be expected to pay again? Surely there is at       least one member benefit.

If one was to ever visit the CTCC web site no one would know who the correct person in what office held what position. Some of the names listed aren't even members anymore not to mention an current event calendar. YET there exist an officers position that will most likely receive recognition at years end. Guess if there are no real events an event calendar is not necessary. The perfect example!

President -  Leads the club, Is expected to set the vision, other than just eating, and represents the club publicly. Manages meetings and initiatives.  Is this so?

Eating out is not an event. It is just a convenient method employed by, let's just say, by the ever so tiring and aging generation that really does not have what it takes today to sponsor a real Corvette event.

Vice President - Supports the president and may oversee specific projects or initiatives.

Web Master - Is there really one? How current is the clubs web site? Appears to be very outdated  and in serious need of at least current updates. Is there really a webmaster at all or just a place holder as is the case of other offices? Is this web site even close to and/or being accurate? Click Here.

Something that has been missing for decades

When nominations come due you MUST consider each of these duties and ask yourself are current officers really doing the job or just coasting?

YOUR

MOST officers take their office seriously and perform their offices quite well but there are always that few that exist that seemingly just do not care and would prefer to just tweak by hoping that others do not recognize the undermotivated officer..
Most intelligent people can can easily see past this and quickly identify the workers from the coasters or those that are looking for the easy way out and relies on subordinate officers to make themselves look good. Is this approach working?

Wouldn't you prefer to be involved with a forward thinking 21st century club with leadership of the same?
Think Youth!

How is wisdom related to aging? While many people associate wisdom with advanced age, becoming wise clearly requires more than "just" growing old.
Conventional thinking suggest that the older one becomes the wiser they get, however never is heard of gaining more energetic.
How is this working out for CTCC?
