Try to imagine if such a coup was attempted today and the backlash directed to those that would attempt such. Amazing what time forgets if not recorded.

Of course something like this could never happen again to CTCC.

                             Right?

There continues within CTCC some common elements of the past that over the many forgotten years has been allowed to foster the old idea of how a Corvette Club should be operated by way of a like minded few of a once failed leadership style. Slowly injecting an old vision from a once failed time into the original surviving club. Perhaps this "Old Guard" will one day finally step aside and allow a generation with young  ideas to once again flourish

Perhaps this may better explain why there is no and never will be a public historical record prior to the failed spin off attempt as long as the "Old Guard" reigns. The real problem is allowing these "Old Guard" disciples to continue to be practiced today. Employing the same leadership and management discipline that ultimately took down the spin off attempt and might be able to it again if something doesn't soon change the course the club is currently on.

This is the very reason this warning goes out to ALL that should know the CTCC's history and some of the names associated with that history might prefer never to be recorded or exposed. We are all aware that history continues to repeat itself if that history is forgotten. It is also said that the stripes on the Zebra cannot be changed, but they can however be painted over to disguise them. Can humans be so foolish?

As the club exists today if for some reason it failed there would be no written public record of existence of the CTCC legendary history other than here. *What do you think would happen to the clubs history, assets (in the thousands) and other accumulated funds as already the absence of history has once been illustrated?

This is the very reason that at every meeting the clubs balance sheet is offered to view to assure transparency and assure all have knowledge.

Someone needs to be asking why this is not a practiced element of each club meeting or is there something else that could be happening?

The writing is clearly on the wall.

              Question your leadership.

                 It's YOUR club

Sometime around 1979 or so there were a few disgruntled CTCC members that wanted to experience less of a social structured club as set forth in the original C.T.C.C. constitution in favor of a more competition club as different as it can be today.

These rogue elements disliked the Cen Tex Corvette Club and leadership enough to spin away from the CTCC club to allow themselves to dictate their own policy's and started the "Heart Of Texas Corvette Club". As it turned out since that name had never been registered the Corvette Club in Grapevine, Texas legally adopted the name. The spin off never officially incorporated, therefore no history exist. Imagine that? Oddly this was one of several potential names considered by the CTCC founders prior to the CTCC charter.

The new spin off clubs president was a once CTCC member, Jerome Carter.

A few other names but not limited to included names as, Stoermer, Jewell, North, Talbert, Everett, Johnson and Jordan. Soon after the new club collapsed. Some if not most of these rogue members that abandoned the CTCC later decided to return to the tried and proven CTCC and enough time has now passed and forgotten and has been gracious and has granted forgiveness and forgetfulness to those that turned their backs to CTCC. Some of these names somehow even reappeared as CTCC officers in leadership capacities even after the collapse of a club they were in charge of. A perfect example of why organizations need to maintain a record of history to continuously remind us of past failures. The irony of this is the responsible party to preserve today's club history is the same person that once defected to help organize a new spin off club that today, for some curious reason, has no recorded history. Imagine that? This provides the perfect example of how little time is required for history to be forgotten and is allowed to repeat itself.

Fortunately for majority of CTCC members remained loyal and the dedicated CTCC Charter Members and others remained committed to CTCC and witnessed the new startup club having to experience all that CTCC growing pains CTCC had already experienced.

The startup knew not of their history and ultimately paid the price.

*They either

                  1. Never knew the CTCC history

                                         or

                  2. Knew the CTCC history and simply

chose to ignore what sacrifice was                                   required to sustain a successful

                       club.

At the height the new spin off clubs membership some strained. About this time is when CTCC finally joined NCCC. A competition based organization.

Sometime about 1989 the spin off club was dissolved due to what some claim to have been questionable management and others claim it to have been just a lack of interest and of course there exists NO club history to recount what really happened.

Unknown but to a select few knows what happened to club treasury and assets and will not speak to the subject honestly to this day.

The Centex Corvette Club Mutiny attempt that FAILED

"Heart Of Texas Corvette Club"

an excellent example of why all need to have basic knowledge of CTCC history and personalities

Do you believe that history repeats itself?

Do you believe that history can repeat itself?

How is wisdom related to aging? While many people associate wisdom with advanced age, becoming wise clearly requires more than "just" growing old.
Conventional thinking suggest that the older one becomes the wiser they get, however never is heard of gaining more energetic.
How is this working out for CTCC?
